Enablai Ltd is committed to making enablai.co.uk usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology. This statement explains where we stand, what we know is not yet right, and how to tell us when something blocks you.
1. Standard we work to
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
For context on how that relates to the legal standards: EN 301 549, the European harmonised standard for accessibility of ICT products and services, is currently cited in the Official Journal at version 3.2.1 (2021), which references WCAG 2.1 AA; a revised version aligned to WCAG 2.2 AA is in preparation. In the UK, the Equality Act 2010 requires service providers to make reasonable adjustments but names no technical standard, and no UK statute imposes WCAG conformance on private-sector websites — the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 apply to public bodies only.
We work to WCAG 2.2 AA because it is the current guideline and because it is the right thing to do, not because a statute compels it.
Current conformance status: partially conformant — not yet independently audited. Some content does not fully conform; it is listed in §4.
2. What we have done
- Every page declares its language, so screen readers use the right pronunciation rules
- Every page has a descriptive, unique title
- Form fields on our contact form have programmatically associated labels, and validation errors are described in text rather than by colour alone
- Informative images carry alternative text
- No auto-playing audio or video, and no embedded third-party media
- Scroll-triggered motion and animated elements are suppressed when your operating system
or browser "reduce motion" setting is on (
prefers-reduced-motion) - No cookies, tracking scripts, or consent banners to navigate past
3. Testing
| Last tested | 8 September 2026 |
| Tested by | Our internal team — a self-assessment |
| Method | Automated accessibility tooling, plus manual keyboard-only testing |
| Independent audit | Not yet carried out |
| Screen reader testing | Not yet carried out |
We test again whenever we make a significant change to the site, and we review this statement at least annually.
4. Known issues
We are honest about what does not yet work. As at 8 September 2026:
| Issue | Effect | WCAG criterion | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| The site uses scroll-triggered motion and animated marquees | People with vestibular disorders or attention-related conditions may find movement uncomfortable or distracting | 2.2.2 Pause, Stop, Hide; 2.3.3 Animation from Interactions | Mitigated: all such animation is disabled when your device's "reduce motion" setting is on. We are reviewing whether an on-page pause control is also needed |
| Some decorative large-type elements have not been contrast-verified | People with low vision may find some decorative text hard to read | 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum); 1.4.11 Non-text Contrast | To be verified at our next test; anything below the required ratio will be corrected |
5. Content we do not control
This site does not currently embed third-party content such as video players, maps, booking or chat widgets. If we add any, we will assess it against WCAG 2.2 AA, note any shortfall here, and provide an accessible alternative route to the same information or function on request.
6. If something blocks you
Please tell us. A description of what you were trying to do, the page you were on, and the assistive technology or settings you use helps us fix it quickly.

8. Scope and applicability
This statement covers enablai.co.uk.
European Accessibility Act. National measures implementing Directive (EU) 2019/882 have applied to service provision since 28 June 2025. Under Article 3(23) a microenterprise is one that employs fewer than 10 persons and has an annual turnover not exceeding €2 million or an annual balance sheet total not exceeding €2 million; Article 4(5) exempts microenterprises providing services from the accessibility requirements. Enablai Ltd is currently a microenterprise and is therefore exempt in respect of services. We publish this statement and work to WCAG 2.2 AA voluntarily. If we cease to be a microenterprise we will update this statement to meet the requirements of Annex V of the Directive.
